Rocky Horror Picture Show
I primarily play Janet on our shadowcast. Her look features coral pink cheeks and grey-blue eyeshadow. I play her very silly, and so I try to do my makeup to deepen and exaggerate my expressions while lip-syncing to the movie. As much as I'd love to do the floor show makeup for actual performances, the turnaround time in the movie to change into the corset and fishnets is only about 2 minutes. The picture below is from a promotional photoshoot our cast did. I don't wear the blonde wig for my regular performances because I've found a pin curling pattern that works for my hair and emmulates Susan Sarandon's hairstyle in the film.
Our theme nights are an opportunity to play around with costumes and makeup. For our holiday show, I played Magenta by way of Martha May Whovier from the 2000 live action How The Grinch Stole Christmas. I cannot take credit for the incredible wig, which was created by my grinch counter part, @sanguisabactor.
